Mettle’s model meets families where they are, not where their paperwork says they should be. Together, they’ll explore what research tells us about how prepared families actually feel before and after a loss, what the caregiver burden data reveals about what families need and aren’t getting, and why the most important thing a senior living community can offer in an unplanned moment isn’t a protocol — it’s a person who knows how to communicate honestly and still make a family feel held.
 
We are entering an era in senior living where preparation and presence must coexist. In a Convergence Era where healthcare, risk management, legal, and customer service can no longer operate in isolation, the ability to communicate with skill and compassion in unscripted moments is a clinical competency, a liability strategy, and a reflection of organizational culture.
